2019/2020 Board of Directors

President

George Henry

A member of the Board of Directors since 1998 George has served as President for 3 terms.  He continues to be an active member of the Quality Enhancement Committee.  George also served a term on the Board of Directors for Community Living Ontario.  His goal is to ensure that this Association remains viable and affective as we move forward into the future.

Vice President

Patricia Davis

Pat has been a very dedicated volunteer. She was elected to the Board of Directors in 2000, was President for two terms and Vice president for one term. She is an active member of the Quality Enhancement Committee and the Rights review Committee. Pat is a retired Principal with the Niagara District School Board.

2nd Vice President

Patti Miller

Patti has been a valuable member of the Board of Directors since 1994 and has been President for two terms. Her past financial experience has been an important asset to the Board. During the 22 years Patti held Executive positions as Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. She is an active member of the Quality Enhancement Committee.

Treasurer

Brandon Anger

Brandon has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2009. He was Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee for three years. Brandon is a Divisional Controller for Walker Industries

Secretary

Dan Tonello

Dan is currently Chair of People Helping People Achieve and as such represents the Self Advocate group. He is dedicated to promoting the equality of people and actively participates on local and provincial committees and promotes the goals of inclusion and citizenship. In 2016 he received the Joan Baechler Volunteer Award from CLPCW and the James Montgomerie Honour Award from Community Living Ontario

Past President

Mark Guilbeault

Mark joined the Board in 2009. He is President of Mark Guilbeault & Associates, an independent Insurance brokerage located in Port Colborne. Having been in the Insurance business for over 15 Years he brings a valuable skill set to the Board of Directors

Director

Brian Lambie

Brian has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2002. He is a member of the Facility Committee. He has been a very important resource to the Board when dealing with a variety of legal issues.

Larry Boggio

Larry was first elected to the Board of Directors in 1988 until 1999, and then again in 2003 until present. In 2016 he received his 25 Year Board Service Award. Larry is owner of Boggio’s Pharmacy Ltd. In Port Colborne and is a valuable resource to the Board. He held the position of President and Vice President and over the years has been an active member of the Facility Committee.

Jean Lillie

After her retirement as an employee with our organization Jean was elected to the board of Directors in 1999. She brings a unique perspective to the Board as a past employee. Jean is a member of the Quality Enhancement Committee as well as the Right’s Review Committee.

Director

Scott Schihl

In accordance with our by-laws one additional Director shall be appointed by People Helping People Achieve and as the Chair of the group we welcomed Scott to fill this position in 2019.  Scott is a member of the CLPCW Right's Review Committee and is also on the Hiring Committee.  He's had opportunity to present the STAR (Stop, Think, Act, Report) training at Conferences throughout the province.
