Family, Youth & Children Programs and Services

CHILDREN SUPPORT SERVICES AND PROGRAMS

SPECIAL SERVICES AT HOME: The Special Services at Home (SSAH) program helps families who are caring for a child with developmental and/or physical disabilities. SSAH is funded and managed by the Ministry of Children Community and Social Services. Funding can be used to purchase supports and services for the child in home or in the community. SSAH funding can be self-administered or managed by CLPCW.

Contact CLPCW for assistance in completing the SSAH application.

AFTERSCHOOL ACTIVITIES: After school activities for children 6-12 years of age. We use an integrated approach and provide support to children who are interested in getting involved in community-based programs. CLPCW also offers in house programs for children who would like to participate in after school activities that are not available in the community.

YOUTH PROGRAM: A program for young people 13-21 years of age who are looking for something fun to do with others their own age. Usually held on a Friday night. Community and Centre based, small groups go to the movies, bowling, go to the mall, play video games, attend concerts, eat out, etc. We also offer life skills training such as cooking, healthy relationships and G1 Drivers License preparation.

CHILDREN’S CAMP: An integrated approach to summer camp where children 6-12 years of age attend a camp of their choice and are supported by staff from CLPCW.
